Upon receiving my certificate in buiding science and systems through the NYC Accelerator Internship Training program, I began with NYC Accelerator as an intern. During my internship, I supported the Outreach Manager in all aspects of the program.
Senior Project Manager Harbor SEALs

In partnership with the Billion Oyster Project, the Harbor SEALs led water quality monitoring of the Hudson Raritan Estuary.
As the Senior Project Manager, I led a team of more than 30 volunteers and interns in all aspects of research, including the planning/execution of research proposals, data collection, and training, while providing quality assurance oversight and assessments, and presenting research to key stakeholders.
Sustainability Intern Earth Matter NY

The Zero Waste Island initative was formed in partnership between Earth Matter NY and the Trust for Governors Island from the New York City Department of Sanitation (DSNY) to reduce the waste export to zero on Governors Island in New York by processing of 100% of the organic waste collected on the island, including food vendor serviceware and kitchen scraps and landscaping cleanup waste, at the Compost Learning Center.
As a Sustainability intern with the Zero Waste Initiative, I gained on-the-ground insight into large scale waste management, the problems, and related opportunities to improve sustainable practices on Governors Island; Responsibilities included waste management, composting, sorting recyclable, teaching and presenting to large audiences about waste reduction, transporting green and brown materials.

I was responsible for transportation and transitioning between different activities and locations, providing and preparing meals, working closely with campers with special needs.

In partnership with the Trust for Gov­er­nors Island and the Nation­al Park Ser­vice, the Friends of Governors Island is an inde­pen­dent non­prof­it focused on offering vis­i­tor ser­vices, vol­un­teer pro­grams, fundsraising for the park’s land­scapes, expanding pub­lic access, creating free pro­gram­s, and advo­cacy.
While working as a Tour Guide with the Friends of Governors Island, I led tours about the historical and recreational aspects of Governors Island. My responsibilities included creating and carrying out guide plans, giving directions and information, and retail work in the visitor center. The tour season ended with a fundraising gala, which I helped to facilitate.
